Thirsty Kate

Kate had to have a drink from the water fountain.

We played in the water area for at least 40 min. Kate was soaking wet and totally in heaven. She kept saying "water" which sounds like "agua" when she says it. Perhaps that is why she isn't talking--maybe she speaks Spanish and we've been speaking the wrong language to her all along. After using her hands, she wanted to upgrade to the full sensory experience and go with the mouth. By then, in every picture I took she was trying to drink the water. Everytime I would tell her she couldn't drink, she would say "okay" in a cute sweet voice. But, as soon as I looked down to take a picture she would try to get a drink. She would even repeat "ucky, ucky" but as soon as she thought I wasn't looking, she was back to drinking. Finally, we just left because she would not stop. So gross, but then again it may not be much dirtier than the drinking fountain above.

Here's a video of Kate trying to drink the water. I like how she tries to be sneaky about it and then looks at me like she's innocent.

You are confusing the child. :) It looks just like a drinking fountain Mom.
