Here's what Kate has been up to lately:

Wreaking havoc: The other morning Michael came in and said "You better wake up. Kate was up early and is wreaking havoc." As I came down stairs, Luke met me and said Kate wasn't letting his play with his toys. Then Allie met me and said Kate wouldn't let her practice piano. And evidently, she had taken off her pajamas and was just wearing socks and Elmo panties pulled over her diaper. And the picture above was the look she gave me. She had been up at 5:45 that morning, and I put her back in bed. At 6:15 she must have known I would just put her back in bed, so she woke up Allie.

Playing with Allie's dollhouse is her favorite thing to do.

Bored + Stickers from the Drs office.

Driving her car. She makes this little car and drives every morning. "Where are you going ?" I ask. "To Costco!" she says.
She doesn't take a nap everyday, but it is a much happier day when she does. This particular day she was sleeping with her toy vacuum in her bed. She treats her vacuum like a baby. She puts it to sleep, reads to it, feeds it (at the table) and pushing it around in a shopping cart.
Just last week when I went to check on her taking a nap, she had taken off all of her clothes, and her diaper and was totally naked. Such a surprise.

Puzzlemaster

From the time Luke was very young, he called himself the "Puzzlemaster" He actually did have an uncanny knack for putting together puzzles. Evidently, he still has it. He worked on this puzzle over the break and did it all by himself. He asked me to take a picture and put it on the blog. It had 550 pieces and was for ages 12 & up. (He wanted me to say that too!)

I like puzzles because they keep him quiet and busy for a long time!

Costco Shopper

Here's a picture of my constant companion. Lately, she has been on a kick to close doors. She follows me along all day and close every door behind me and then every other door she can see. You wouldn't think so, but it slows you down to open every door when you enter and leave a room. This is what she wore today. She even told me that her name was "Elmo" She wears her costume when we go out a lot. It embarrasses Allie when she wears it to pick her up from school. She even took a nap in it.
I like how she has the Pirate's Booty buckled in the shopping cart. She gave it a hug when I grabbed it and then insisted that it be buckled in.
Kate loves to go to Costco. She always asks for a hot dog or pizza. When she plays with her shopping cart at home, she says, "Bye Mom! I go Costco." then "Hot dog!" Usually we split one, but a couple of weeks ago I gave her a whole one. She ate it all! Luke said, "That was pretty impressive!" Or gross. But for a child who doesn't eat it is nice to see.
