Thank you Grandpa for sharing Grandma with us this week! We love having her here, but wish you were here too. We are looking forward to this summer when we have both of you here.

Spring soccer for Allie started a couple of Saturdays ago. There is nothing better to do on a Saturday afternoon! Allie is playing with the same club that she played with in the fall. They are a fun group of girls and it's neat to see them improving. Allie taking the corner kick. She kept kicking them over everyone's heads towards the center of the goal. I'm not sure how she did it, they were great corner kicks!
Allie has become better at going after the ball. She is good at poking her foot in and stopping the other team.

Happy Easter

We had a nice Easter Sunday. It ended with a great dinner at Pete and Julie's with Bob and Kim. The kids enjoyed all the morning Easter stuff. It was not really a great day for taking pictures. So here's the best we got. Kate really wasn't in the mood and we needed to get to church. We had wonderful talks at church about Jesus Christ's sacrifice and resurrection. I cannot fully understand the Atonement, but I do know that Jesus Christ died for all mankind and took our sins upon him. I know that he personally took my own sins upon Him that I may be forgiven. I also know that he suffered in all ways and truly knows what we are going through when we are having pain, or hard times. I know that Jesus Christ can offer us peace in the midst of all our troubles. I know that he was resurrected and that we too will someday be resurrected and will be able to live forever with Him and with our families. I don't get to share those thoughts with my family and friends as much as I would like, but that knowledge is part of me and gives me hope and strength each day. I am so grateful to have that knowledge to share with my children as I know it will be a strength to them as well.

Kate aka Evil Knievil
Forget the walking, these 17 pounds of pure guts are into climbing. How high can you go? Warning: if your first name is Grandma, you might not like this video. My personal favorite part is when halfway through Luke tells her to jump. I can tell I'm going to have fun with these two as they get older. Just so you know, I was there to spot her and the ladder will now be stowed during the day.

Kate walking
We're home now and Kate's really walking a lot. Actually, she's pretty good on her feet. In the morning and afternoon, it's a slow, deliberate, careful pace. In the evening, well.. it just looks like she's had a few too many if you know what I mean. She's really just trying to run but isn't quite ready for that yet. Here's an evening clip for your enjoyment. Don't worry Mom--she wasn't hurt.
