We just got back from taking Allie and Luke to see the Harlem Globetrotters. It was so much fun! We had a babysitter for Kate and so we were able to enjoy some alone time with the big kids. We were lucky enough to score great seats, right in the middle and almost the front. My uncle Joel took me when I was younger and I remember how fun it was! Michael went too and so it just seemed like something a kid should get to do. The kids loved it. Luke jumped and threw his arms into the air every time the Globetrotters scored. His favorite player was named Slick. The Washington Generals (the team that always plays against the Globetrotters) had a new secret weapon. It was an umbrella that they could spin and hypnotize the Globetrotters with. They would hypnotize one player at a time and them make them do something so that the Generals could score. If the remaining Globetrotters could make a great play, the hypnotized player would snap out of it. At half time, Luke was worried that they would hypnotize all of the Globetrotters at once and then no one would be left to help them snap out of it. Luckily, the Generals did not think of that plan so the Globetrotters won. I think the kids' favorite parts were when they were teasing the Generals' short guy and calling him a "baby", throwing water on the ref and crowd, and pulling players' pants off to show their underwear. Hopefully Allie and Luke won't pick up any bad ideas. If the school calls tomorrow, I'm not answering my phone!

This guy was the funniest part. He was dancing all around in that suit and doing tricks. It was so weird it was funny.

What a fun evening! And I see that Mr. Melanson is sporting some facial hair!
