This is for everyone back in Bakersfield. I picked these up at Sam's the other day. Good ol' Bakersfield oranges. Actually, after trying them I think they keep the good ones in Bakersfield and ship the nasties to Texas. I like the picture on the bag. I'm not sure that's an accurate representation of the Kern River. I'm thinking they should have gone with the stretch at Beach Park that's all dried up or the sign in the canyon that says "Killer Kern: Stay out Stay Alive." That is the Kern River I know. That would make for a more interesting bag of oranges.

This summer we went up to the "big Trees'Sequoias..and on the way home we stopped and almost skinny dipped. Okay we underwear dipped in the "killer Kern" it didnt seem so killer though. We were above Lake Isabella. Maybe cause it was August it wasnt so high and raging!

There is absolutely NOTHING like California oranges that are picked off the tree! Wish that the oranges were better for you. I never buy oranges anymore because they are such a disappointment.
No doubt, they don't taste as good as those here since they have to pick them early. However, they're probably better than others!
