I'm Back

My Aunt Peggy, Kate and Me at the Funeral

It's been a long time since I've had a chance to post--things have been really hectic. I just returned from CA where I went to my Grandma McGuire's funeral. It was a quick trip and just took Kate with me. (Thanks to Pete and Julie for watching Allie and Luke!) My grandma is finally resting after struggling so long with Alzheimer's and it is a blessing that she does not have to suffer anymore. I love to imagine her with her family and so happy to be released. She was an amazing woman and had so many talents. She could cook, bake, sew, garden- she could do it all. She was incredibly organized and was an extremely hard worker. She is a great example to me. I definitely I have been lucky to have great grandparents. It was a nice trip and as always a joy to be with family. The weather in CA was fantastic--100 degrees and NO RAIN! I got to meet my new niece Andee and my cousin's daughter, Bella who are both super cute. I also got to show off Kate to lots of family that hadn't met her yet. I will post more pictures when I have time, but I just had to get something posted!

Sorry about your sweet grandma, but it's nice to have the gospel perspective and know that she's happy. Kate is growing up so fast--I can hardly believe it!

Kim, my sympathy goes out to you and your family. It is nice to hear you speak so fondly of her and how happy you know she is now. Kate looks adorable in that picture, my how time flies, she is getting so big so fast!

Kim,
I found you through the blogging world. I don't know if you remember me but I lived on the same floor as you freshman year at BYU...my roommate Becky always thought all of us were too loud. Your kids are so CUTE. So sorry to hear about your grandma...it was a nice tribute.

Love,
