My grandma always give the kids savings bonds for their birthdays which is pretty cool. The kids love them and think saving money is awesome. A friend was over and asked Allie what the savings bond was and I overheard her tell her, "Well, it's worth some money now, but later it will be worth more money. So I can use it to get out of jail or something like that when I'm older."

How funny. Calvin just got a $200 savings bond and I was about to cash the dang thing when Mitchell informed me not to. Dumb me. :)
Ha! Allie has so much potential I bet she'll get to jail doing something more than plain old vandalism or shoplifting. I picture something more like Ocean's 14! Hang on to that savings bond Allie! (o: Way to think ahead. (o:
