Monday Afternoon
Nothing exciting to post today, but since this is our family journal I just thought I would add a plain, normal day. Allie went to school and Luke, Kate and I went grocery shopping. I folded laundry and cleaned out the fridge while Luke flipped though a book and Kate slept. When Allie got home from school, the kids went outside to play. (I love the sound of kids playing outside--someday I want to live next door to a school so I can hear it all the time) But really, nothing exciting. It was nice to just be home together. This last weekend was General Conference--we got to hear the prophet and apostles teach so many wonderful things. Among other things, one of the things I really felt impressed to do was to enjoy the season of life I am in now and remember these times with my young children. Every day with them is truly a gift and sometimes as I rush about to all the "things" I have to do and don't slow down to enjoy this season. So today I just enjoyed the plain, boring, everyday things. Since I don't have very many pictures of me with the kids, I had Allie take some while we were playing this afternoon so I can remember what lazy afternoons at home were like when my kids were little. And yes, I'm wearing a hat because I still can't always find time to wash my hair, etc. Oh well--it was a nice day. I'm not really all that into doing my hair anyway.
Oh yeah, Luke got strep again! Last Friday I took him to the Dr.--it looks like he might have a tonsillectomy.

Kim, you look great! I sure do miss our Tuesday swaps. We will need to start that up again real soon. I am glad that the weather was good enough for your kids to play outside. It makes for happier kids.
HI Kim,
I am so glad things are going well, sorry about Luke being sick again. Travis had his tonsils out last year, have plenty of popsicles and yogurt on hand if he does need it. It did seem to really help Travis though. I am scheduled for my C-section May 7th so maybe we can get together in June? Your kids are so cute!
